To promote its new Bud Light Lime cans, Anheuser-Busch is getting the word out through an interesting campaign that takes raunchiness to the next level. The online commercial features confessions of people who claim they enjoy "getting it in the can."
Industry vets have called the spot a "wannabe viral video" that's "crude" and "juvenile." Personally, I was entertained the first time I saw it — though it doesn't make me want to run to the store to buy Bud Light Lime. What do you think? Is this marketing ploy childish and gross, or a laughable campaign that you can get behind?

Doesn't bother me. I find it mildly humorous!
1It's pretty funny... Bud Light Lime is gross though, the lime flavour tastes sweetened. If you just put an actual lime wedge in a regular Bud Light it's way better.
2Fire the agency, quick. But first fire the entire marketing and management teams. Marketing 101 has taught us that if you have no creativity or intelligence use sex or bathroom humor.
3Thought it was soooooo funny..........still hate the product though. The idea for a commercial is to make you remember a product and this one will.
4I think it's a good promo...nice cross section of people...good catch phrase...canned beer is cheaper and more portable...I would buy it for a tailgate party for the grins...

7That's so wrong, but it is funny though. I could see why people got offended though...it's probably not something everyone would enjoy.
8Well, I find the beer delicious, and Bud Light's advertising has always been borderline obnoxious, so its fine by me.

13I thought it was hilarious. I grabbed a bud light lime simply because the commercial made me laugh, and I figured I'd give back for taking a big risk on these ads. Plus, the target audience for Bud Light Lime, will most likely respond the way I did; with a smile on my face.

15I think the commercial is funny, but they could leave out several of the "in the cans". Maybe if they have just one or two people saying it, but after two it isn't really funny anymore.

We need to loosen up in America. This is the minor leagues when compared to a European commercial. There you will see naked women and men with plenty of sexual references.
19Very sick humor. The product obviously sucks considering the public health infections associated with 'getting it in the can'.
20Anyone else remember the 7up yours campaign? This is basically a rip off. Not original and basically flat. This should help the frat boys get underage girls -- other than that I really do not see this moving much product.
