Without Sex and the City, the Cosmopolitan would not be the wildly popular cocktail it is today. Created in the early 80s, the drink became well known because Carrie frequently ordered the rosy-hued concoction. At the Sex and the City marathon that Fab and I are hosting, we'll definitely be pouring Cosmopolitans.
We'll also have tons of pink champagne and sparkling water on hand. To see the cosmo recipe, we'll use, read more.

I do love me some cosmos! But my Dad is on a gin kick, and invented a cool alternative- the Gizmo. (coolest cocktail name ever, go Dad!) Anyway, it's basically the same, he just replaces the vodka with gin. You do have to enjoy gin, but I find them quite yummy.
1I love Cosmopolitans!
I like fruit flavored things, but especially this.
2Cosmos are okay...not my favorite cocktail. I'd rather have a different type of martini.
3i don't really think they're that great. i'd rather have a vodka martini or mango margarita!!
4I overdid it on the Cosmos when they were big and got sick of them. I should have recovered by now. I'll definitely be having some to celebrate the movie!
5Nothing better to start a marathon (if you know what I mean) then a couple of sweet cocktails.
6So cute and quintessential!
7I LOVE the part in the commercial for the movie where the girls are out having Cosmos and Miranda goes why did we ever stop drinking these and Carrie says because everyone else started. I thought it was so funny and so true!
