Recently, we received a shipment of conversation hearts from Necco, the company that makes Sweethearts. This year, the nostalgic candies haven't just gone high tech in their messaging — they've also got completely new flavors and even a special Twilight version. As a traditionalist, I abhor the new flavors; they're too fancy. Why mess with a good thing? Growing up, I referred to Sweetheart flavors by color: the green flavor, the pink flavor, and so on. I'm devastated there aren't any minty white hearts anymore; they were my favorite. What's always been your choice color?

I am literally devastated there are no more whites. I hope they go back to creating the old flavors. The white, IMHO, are the only ones worth eating!

5I eat 'em just cause it's VD tradition. I'd rather have Necco wafers if I'm gonna eat this kinda candy. Gimme the largest heart box of chocolates instead.

8I always thought of these as being kind of "crap" candy. I didn't really care for them, but if I had to pick, I liked the orange ones best, followed by the green ones. I remember that I detested the purple ones because they tasted like licorice. Blech.
9Aww, the number one flavor isn't produced any more? Now I know not to bother buying them even if they're on sale after V Day.
10I am devistated that there are new flavors they gross! I went to 3 different stores looking for the right ones, and there were none. i'm so sad.
11I agree Spectra, I just had one of my son's today and the purple is what I went for thinking it would be grape-YUCK! That was so not grape!
