Dark Chocolate Fondue
Information

Notes
Reheat fondue as needed by returning the saucepan to the stove over low heat. Whisk it constantly to prevent the bottom from scorching.

Ingredients
1 cup (8 ounces) dark chocolate, like Tcho 68 percent dark couverture
3/4 cup (6 ounces) whipping cream
Pinch of salt
1 16-ounce container strawberries
1 bag marshmallows
1 bag pretzels, like Pretzel Crisps
Directions
- In a small saucepan, heat the milk over low heat until small bubbles form, whisking often so the milk does not scald. Whisk in the chocolate, until it melts, and the mixture completely emulsifies into a pudding-like texture. Remove from heat and serve with the strawberries, marshmallows, and pretzels.
Serves two.
You may think that fondue is a special-occasion food that you can only get for a hefty sum at a white-tablecloth restaurant, but there's another way to dip goodies in that decadent, warm chocolate sauce.
Instead of investing in a fancy fondue pot, try making the fondue in a small saucepan.
Lay out your favorite fondue ingredients: mine happen to be salty pretzel pieces, vanilla marshmallows, and strawberries, but you can use whatever fruit, cake, and candy you like.
