Dishwasher Lasagna: Love It or Hate It?

Either the people at Part Select — an online part store for major appliances — want to show you what you can do with your dishwasher, or they're hoping you'll do it and break it in the process. At least, that is what I assume was the logic behind their recipe for Dishwasher Lasagna Florentine. That's right, you make the lasagna in a dishwasher. I'm not the only one who thinks it's wacky, but how about you? What do you think of dishwasher lasagna?

I think its great. There is nothing wrong with crazy out of the norm ideas, just for the sake of something different. yay lasagna, yes even soapy lasagna!

I think it's kind of cool! A friend and I tried it with fish once and it worked really well.

Yuck- either your dishwasher would smell like lasagna, or your lasagna would smell like dish soap. If someone pulled this out at a dinner party I would get out of there!

Actually, if you read the article you can cook the lasagna WHILE you wash dishes, so that would be eco-friendly, compared to washing the dishes, and baking a lasagna :) I don't necessarily see why everyone thinks this is gross - it's the same thing as wrapping up a lasagna and putting it in hot water to cook it - but I still would never do it.

I wouldn't knock this idea so much... as the article said, cooking the lasagna in the dishwasher isn't necessarily something you would do if you had other options... but if your oven is broken and had many mouths to feed, and I suppose if you didn't want to order out, this was a creative way to cook at home.
