I love a challenge! I usually save these types of recipes for the weekends though becuase I'm in lab until 7 or 8 during the week.

Prep doesn't intimidate me and I like spending time in the kitchen (I actually think chopping, slicing, dicing etc. is very theraputic) but I don't have time for a big involved meal every night so I only cook complicated meals a few times a week. Other than that, it's quick and easy (without sacrificing nutrition).

Since I work an evening shift, I typically have all afternoon to get errands, cooking done, so I spend a lot of my time researching recipes when I first get up, and then pick up any last minute ingredients that I don't have on hand. If I'm desperate/lazy, I'll just do a google search for the ingredients I have on hand and go from there! Long meals always seem to taste better anyway, though.

I love to cook and I dont mind if it has many steps but, if it calls for lots of ingredients I dont have, and dont use often, chances are that I'll skip it.

I used to love the complicated long recipes. But now with a baby at home and working full time I have no time for that. Maybe when he's older and can entertain himself more I'll get back into it. I love to bake, but haven't really done any since he was born.

if i like the recipe i'll save it for a day when i have the time (energy) but if it requires the use of something strange (to me) like a potato ricer (???) forget it. i've been known to substitute ingredients to make a recipe eaiser.

I really enjoy the process of making really elaborate, time-consuming dishes; I just wish I had more time to do them. That's why Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. I kick everyone out of the kitchen and do it all myself :)

I avoid those recipes, yes. I love to cook and do 90% of the cooking in my house, but I also have a time limit on how long I can be involved in one meal. Not sure why; I just find myself restless.

No, i love to cook. But if something takes a long time to cook i will usually wait for the weekend because when i get out of work i don't want to have to wait a couple of hours for dinner so i will just cook something that is less time consuming on the week days.

Cooking is my zen...very, very rarely will I make something that's not from scratch, so I'm always spending long hours in the kitchen. Nothing is more satisfying than a the first bite of a challenging, complicated recipe.

it really depends.for special occasions im down with getting busy in the kitchen, but for the day to day food it really isn't worth it!

I like the challenge of a complicated recipe, and the reward is usually a dish with alot of complex flavors. But that is reserved for the weekend. During the week, I usually cook something in less than an hour.

If the recipe is too complicated, it won't come out right. I'm not good at cooking or baking. I'm a full-time student and I work, so I don't have a lot of time to cook.

Yes, I do if I'm in a hurry. But I love trying new recipes when I've got the time, like Yum Sugar's buttermilk cookies, which are so worth the time! :)

it really depends. there are times when i don't mind a longer recipe but sometimes i just want that 10 minutes or less version!

I actually love cooking which makes it enjoyable for me to take the time and prepare a nice dish. Plus, I love eating and that means I can't settle for something blah. So, I take my time and make something as yummy as I can. Although, there are some pretty simple recipes that can be made and that are just as good so I guess you just have to choose what would make you feel good that day.
