Do You Do All the Cooking?

There are exceptions to this generalization, but I usually come home to find my boyfriend waiting for me to whip up a delicious dinner. A couple of nights a month I don't cook, but more often than not I'm the one who makes the meals in the house. What about you — are you doing all the cooking for your loved ones and roommates?

Yup, it's almost always me. Unless they're grilling, that's my fiance's job.

Just like WineUnleashed, I do all the cooking, and my husband does all the cleaning. It works out better that way because I will never have to eat a failed experiment and my dishes will always been clean.

My fiance always cooks, I never never ever cook- mostly because I'm really bad at cooking and he is an amazing, and super healthy "chef". But we do grocery shop together, and basically I get to be like "I want salmon tonight" and salmon I'll have- I'm so luck! To make up for it, I clean the kitchen/do dishes about 98% of the time myself AND I can bake- so I make him 1 or 2 batches of his fav chocolate chip cookies a week.

I stay with the 'rents and my mum's an awesome cook so the family is more than happy (much to her dismay I would think) to leave all the cooking to her! We all even think the leftovers taste great. Haha.

I am cooking 95% of the time. He may occasionally cook something for me on a special occasion or when we want his fettucine alfredo- yum!

it's sad - when my fiance and i first started dating, we would cook together - it was something fun that we did, and now he does 99% of the cooking i would say. i like it cause he enjoys cooking, and since i'm a vegetarian and he's not - it means that i don't have to look at the meat that he's making, but i feel like i'm not contributing as much anymore since it's typically (or stereotypically) the woman's role to cook. oh well. i guess as long as he's happy then that's the way that things will be for a while in our house.

I almost always do the cooking. I don't mind though. I get frustrated watching my hubby chop, prep, and all that. I just become a neurotic mess so if he does cook, I have to be far far away. I like cooking for him much more than actually eating.

I almost always do the cooking, except for nights that i tutor until 8 or have a meeting until 9, then my husband cooks. It's better this way, I LOVE to cook, and he's....limited....and I'm bossy, and he always does things wrong if I let myself pay attention! hahaha! He does the dishes though...well except for my pots and pans, I do those, and I like to and they're easy to do. If I didn't want to cook, I'm sure he'd step up and learn some new tricks.

I cook about 5 nights a week. He will usually volunteer to grill something on the weekends ( if we are not eating out ) But he doesn't actually "cook". LOL.

I'm doing the long-distance-relationship and living-in-a-single thing currently, so I cook for myself. However, when the girlfriend visits, we split it. Same if I go visit her.

I do almost all of the cooking as well as the things that go along with it such as grocery shopping & menu planning. I really don't mind. I enjoy cooking and it's my time to unwind after work. My husband usually mans the grill on occasions that require it which is at least one night on the weekends and random nights through the week.

I usually do most the cooking but every once in awhile he does. He's a good cook but I seem to have more time (esp. during the week) to prepare meals.

I do most of the cooking only because my husband works nights and is asleep at dinnertime. He takes what I have cooked with him and eats dinner around 2AM. I know...screwed up schedule! But, on his days off we usually grill steaks or he makes a really great chicken and rice recipe. So maybe 2 nights a week he cooks. And he is good at it!

When we first moved in 2gether, over 4 years ago, the cooking was shared. But, over the years, I really started getting into cooking...(Im better at it!)...so now Im the only one who cooks...I dont mind...as long as he does the dishes!

My husband cooks more than I do. He enjoys planning, shopping and experimenting with recipes, so I just sit back and humor him. But, I do all the cleaning up. Fair is fair, I guess.

I do the meal planning, shopping, and cooking (and cleaning) but cooking is one of my hobbies and I enjoy it. Also my husband does all the remodeling on our condo we are working on, which I hate, so we worked out this arrangement and are happy with it. :)

i do all the cooking. my husband only microwaves or takes us out so if i want to control fat, portion, etc. i've got to cook. i don't mind though. i love cooking.
