Do You Drink Hot or Cold Water?

Yesterday I told FitSugar that she was crazy for drinking hot tea on such a hot day. That prompted some people in the office to say that they prefer hot water over cold water. My mom is one of those people, she thinks cold water is terrible. I, on the other hand, think it's amazingly refreshing. So how about you, do you drink hot or cold water?

There are NO benefits to drinking hot water. Get real. Regardless of the temperature of ANY liquid before you drink it, as soon as you do drink it, it becomes 98.6 degrees. Thus drinking plain hot water is just another old wives' tale.

i only drink room temperature water because apparenty cold water is bad for your kidneys... and is you let your water get hot in the car... the plastics in the water bottle will get into your water and eventually cause breast cancer... so i drink room temperature water...smart...

i can drink room temperature water faster than cold water but cold water is really good when it is hot

I prefer cold water, but after visiting with an acupuncturist I've switched to room temperature or warm water. Apparently it's better for you if you have asthma and it's easier for your body to digest.

Cold water if I can. Warm water is ok but no hot water!

Room temp! I'm glad other people have been answering that way too - people are always thinking I'm strange for not drinking cold water. But I can't stand it! Especially if there's ice in it. Just awful!

I drink it coldish, but not ice cold. When I have my period, I only drink hot water - better for cramps!

i like it a little colder than room temp. i'll leave a few bottles out when i get to work and drink on those after a while. it's easier to drink and you'll drink more...i think. same with when i work out...i feel like it tenses me up.

Cold or cool. My mom puts so much ice in her water it looks like an iceberg! "When you're being run out of town, get in front and make it look like a parade"

I heard to cool down pick room temp'd water not cold , as the body has to work to alter it to warm it up before using it. But I still will tend to drink both hot and cold depending on my mood
