Do You Enjoy Flights of Beer?

One of my favorite places in the whole wide world is the Lagunitas Beer Garden in my hometown, the lovely Petaluma, CA. Since it's in a parking lot next to the brewing facility, they are able to offer a lot of special beers. On a recent sunny afternoon, a group of friends and I sipped flights where we got to sample four different selections. Have you ever tasted beer this way?

I have tried various kinds (and colors) and it all just tastes awful! I don't get the appeal, but more for everyone else! =)

Living right by Petaluma myself I've been to Lagunitas many times! Amber, have you tried a bunch of different varieties? I used to think I hated beer, but then discovered that I am a really big fan of dark beer. I love a good stout, but I can do a brown. Anything lighter tastes like urine to me. Northern California peoples should do a day trip to Eureka and visit Lost Coast Brewing Co. Their 8 Ball stout is my favorite!

This was the only way I drank beer at the Kona brewery in Hawaii. I don't recall being at any other breweries where they had this option. Then again Pyramid and Gordon Beirch (sp?) are the only other "breweries" I've gone too, and I wouldn't really call their ale house such even if they do make the beer there.

Being a Petaluman myself :) , I've enjoyed many a Lagunitas flight. I actually prefer to drink flights when visiting a brewery, it's a great way to taste most of their beers without getting completely wasted.

Nothing like a bottle of their Czech Pilsner Lager when I am done washing.................try it!!!!!!!!...........goes great with a bacon wrapped dog or 2!!!!!!!
