Do You Enjoy Reading Recipes?

When I decide to make something, say an angel food cake, I start by searching for a recipe. Then I read as many angel food cake recipes I can find and select the one that sounds the best. This can take hours because I love reading recipes! It's a crazy addiction, but I know I'm not alone: Susannah also enjoys reading recipes. How about you? Do you like reading recipes?

i just love to read. anything, everything. even the recipes on the packets of food....including food i can't eat or don't like. i love looking at the highly unrealistic pictures that accompany recipes. i just love reading. it takes me at least ten more minutes doing anything in the bathroom/kitchen because i read the instructions on every.last.item. yes, i know how to boil pasta, and use shampoo but i must read what barilla and pantene have written about their product. the funniest reads are the mistranslated enlgish instructions etc on foreign products esp those from asia/middle east.

Even when I was a kid, I would pour through cookbooks- I used to sit next to my parent's shelf of books and read them one by one, while eating clemintines.

Love it! It gives me great new ideas for coming up with unique recipes of my own. It's what I love most about cooking--one just never stops learning!

Seriously, cookbooks and trashy novels are pretty much all that I read! Cookbooks have so much to offer, they're not just recipes.

I love looking through recipes. Although there are very few I actually make. So many don't fit my needs that by the time I'm done making substitutions I'm basically making my own thing.
