I mean if it's my boyfriend then whatever but besides him no. I will put whatever I am dipping into on my plate and do that. I would never double dip in a shared item, hello germs!!
I usually avoid it, unless I'm with my boyfriend. It's habit for me to just use the parts of the dipper that I haven't had in my mouth. Or, depending on what I'm dipping, I'll tear a bit off
and dip that.
Studies have shown that, germ-wise, it's not that much worse with double dipping, but its still kind of gross. I only double dip with family and friends, because we're probably sharing air
germs anyway.
Sugarbecky is correct...they did a study and there wasn't any more bacteria than if it (double dipping) hadn't been done. However the author of the study admitted she still didn't like it as
it was as if someone spit on you while speaking. Not going to hurt you but still kind of disgusting.
We're probably sharing the germs anyways, so I tend to go with the flow. If I'm close to the people I'm with and we're double-dipping, so be it! C'est la vie!
Yuck just with family and bf that's it. Not even friends for me. I don't know I read some stuff you can catch from double dipping or just germs in general.

No way. I think it's disgusting.

1I do if it is close family. And even then I use the 'other' side of the chip (or whatever)
2With close family or if I have a girlfriend. Other than that, no.
3also depends how yummy the dip is!

5Only with my boyfriend will I double dip... with family I might sometimes "kayak dip".
6Otherwise I put up and eat the rest of whatever it is dry.
I try not to double dip, but if I do it's usually around family.
7just with family/friends and then i use the sie of the chip i didn't use before
8I too will do the double-dip only with close family and friends and then just use a side of the chip that did not previously use in the previous dip.
9Double-dipping is gross!! I don't care if I'm in the company of family or friends, I wouldn't expect them to do it either.
10I'll use the un-nibbled side of the chip/bread/carrot/whatever. But that's probably gross, huh?

13i'm actually one of those 'break the chip and dip' types - so i don't usually have the opportunity to double dip
14Only BY MYSELF. Eww, if my boyfriend or one of the kids does it I quit eating whatever it is
15Only on the un eaten side, if at all!
16With my family, or my boyfriend. Other than that, no. I'll break the chip/ veggies/ whatever into smaller pieces so I can get more dip, though.
17If it's just me eating by myself or just me and my husband having some chips and dip, then yes, of course.
If I'm at a party or with other people, NO. That's pretty gross.
18I usually break my chip into 2-3 pieces and then I can get a good dip to chip ratio, without double dipping.
19I will totally do it around my family. With other people though, I really try not to. I'll either
1) put the sauce directly onto my plate
or 2) break and dip
If those are not options, then I just eat the rest of whatever it is without dipping again.
20We're probably sharing the germs anyways, so I tend to go with the flow. If I'm close to the people I'm with and we're double-dipping, so be it! C'est la vie!
21No, I don't double-dip... it's pretty gross
22"flip the chip"
23What's a little saliva amongst friends, right?
24Yuck just with family and bf that's it. Not even friends for me. I don't know I read some stuff you can catch from double dipping or just germs in general.
25I will with family, heck i will stick my whole finger in the dip.
26I will with people who I don't think care, but only with an un-bitten part of the chip.
27NO double dipping. I flip with my family but I never ever put the same side I bit back in the dip, not even with myself.
