Do You Ever Eat Cereal For Dinner?

A friend recently told me he occasionally eats cereal for dinner. His girlfriend thinks he's crazy but I personally don't find it that unusual. Sometimes a nice bowl of cereal hits the spot, especially when you get home late and need a little chow. How about you? Do you ever eat cereal for dinner?

I'm a college student. The only think I "make" at home is cereal or something microwaveable. Cereal is the most convenient when I'm feeling peck-ish after midnight...It's yummy, refreshing and not greasy or hard on digestion.

Of course I have. Especially when my hubs is out of town and I don't cook. What is strange is I never eat it for breakfast. Even as a kid I didn't.

i have on a occassion, but not recently at all. sometimes having breakfast for dinner isn't a bad thing!

Great for days you don't want to cook ... don't see ANYTHING in the cupboards that appeals ... need something quick. Heck, it's a lot healthier than a lot of other foods you could eat, too!

Cereal is an all-day, every day meal for me. It's especially good for pre-dinner and midnight snacking. It's better than all the other junk out there!

I'm a little backward though - I also eat pork chops and other dinner food for breakfast. Best breakfast of the last couple of days: breakfast fried rice - bacon, eggs, mushrooms, and onions cooked right into fried rice and then finished with some halved grape tomatoes.

My new fave cereal is fiber one honey clusters--so good...and i either use low fat soy milk or low fat organic---mmm

When I was a kid, we used to have cereal for dinner every now and then. My parents called it "candlelight dinners." They would light candles and we'd all have cereal. It was great! Even now I'd have cereal for dinner, but the husband isn't a cereal eater. I have it for lunch every now and then though!

yeah, i'd say almost more for snack/dessert when i have it in the afternoon or evening. but i have certainly had it for dinner on occasion.right now i have KIX & i haven't had those forever -- good stuff.

well i eat cereal for dinner, lunch, whenever the mood strikes me. I love Cornflakes & Special K vanilla almonds, and when i have it in the house, it's gone in about 3 days.

I used to. I LOVE cereal! Now that I live with someone, we have real meals most of the time.

Haha... I live in the dorms, and we're required to have a meal plan... I'm getting really sick of it actually, and I was wondering what I felt like eating for dinner... And this poll made me realize that I want to eat cereal tonight! Thank you. :P

I don't now, because I cook 7 nights a week. But once my husband moves away for residency and I am living on my own for a few years, I know my cooking will diminish (esp. because he will be taking the car with him, and it's a long walk to the grocery store!) and I'll be eating a LOT of cornflakes for dinner!

I eat cereal for lunch or dinner only. In the morning I need something quicker like a Carnation Instant Breakfast. I come home for lunch during the day, so often times it's my lunch. If it's not my lunch, then it's my dinner if I went out to eat for lunch.
