Cheesecake: Love It or Hate It?

The other day I was making cheesecake for a dinner party, and I don't know what came over me: I could not stop licking the bowl! I'm a huge fan of the creamy, luscious dessert, not only because it's delicious, but also because there's tons of variations, and it must be made in advance, so it's great for entertaining. However, my co-editor in crime, Susannah, is not a cheesecake lover and generally avoids it. How about you?

It's something that's very hit and miss. REALLY good when it's good, REALLY bad when it's not.

Love it! Also depends on where I get it from. There's an awesome cheesecake place in the south south bay, like Almaden Valley that has an array of yummy cakes. And costco isn't too bad. But I love making my own cheesecakes at home. Best ever.

I thought cheesecake was gross until I was about 19 when, ironically, I was turned on to it thanks to my college dining hall. Now I'm absolutely obsessed! (Was probably better off thinking I hated it.)

cheesecake is gross! the texture is just cloying, same reasons i don't like brownies...but they're always a crowd please, i think i'm alone in disliking cheesecake, brownies, fudge etc

I absolutely love it. The best, for me, comes out of my hometown at The Reading Terminal in Philadelphia. There's an Amish vendor there. The cheesecake is so good.
