I marinate cream and cheddar cheese in olive oil, white wine vinegar, green onion, roasted red pepper, basil, italian parsley and garlic (with a touch of sugar, salt and pepper) It's so pretty and festive and my 2nd grader even had me make it for her class for a treat! http://www.flickr.com/photos/nolitamorgan/4264173633/in/set-72157623060777705/
Also never. The pungent cheeses I love do not require anything else. Their putrid flavor is just divine. Breaded and fried cheese (saganaki or fried goat cheese or brie) can be tasty. Oh, and I love cubed mozarella dressed in olive oil and Greek oregano. But marinated... I am curious!
