Do You Mind Sharing a Cooking Station? August 27, 2009 by partysugar 12 Save 0 Favorite 0 While I enjoy help (and company) when cooking, there's truth to the saying about too many cooks in the kitchen. I prefer to have plenty of room and a work station with my own cutting board and knife. How about you? PollCookingCutting BoardsHome CooksStations Tell your friends Link Love Freak out! I don't like people at the same counter as me if I'm chopping with a knife, and frankly, I prefer my space--and fortunately, there's plenty of room for me to be at one counter, hubby to be at another, and additional helpers can work at the butcher block or the kitchen table. SusanTeufel 4 years If it's my husband or my MIL, I don't mind. Otherwise I am iffy. Spectra 4 years I have a really tiny kitchen and I like having it to myself most of the time. I do like it when my husband hangs out in there to talk with me while I cook, but I get annoyed if he tries to help me do things. starangel82 4 years I'm very possessive of my kitchen. When I'm cooking, get out. When it's time to do the dishes, you are more than welcome to come back! :) Soniabonya 4 years Small kitchen and not so much counter space leaves me grumpy if there's too many people in the kitchen. As my uncle Janos would say about my aunt Maria in her kitchen, "let her rule over her own little domain with an iron spatula". :) Like my uncle, my fiance helps with the cooking by doing what I ask of him in the living room, leaving me my space in the kitchen. And when he cooks, I abide by his rules :) buzzlightgirl 4 years I get annoyed when my husband is there with me. I want it all to myself =) chiefdishwasher 4 years Only when I am at the bacon station..........the more people at the station......the more bacon we'll cook! POPSUGAR Food 4 years Sometimes, it's fine. All the time wouldn't be ideal at all. jules0701 4 years I love cooking with my mom but we cant be in cooking at the same time. At thanksgiving tasks are slipt up and so i start the turkey in the morning and then she will do something and then i will come back in for my part and we will do that all day until dinner is ready. Modus Vivendi 4 years I have what my mom calls "a one butt kitchen" but luckily it has a bar so there can be someone on either side. darc5204 4 years I often cook with my boyfriend, but we split tasks and work areas so that we don't get in each other's way. syako 4 years Yes I mind. My kitchen is so tiny that I barely have room for just me in there, let alone someone else. :) You Might Also Like consumerism Nov 06, 2013 Don't Tell Anyone: 11 Secret Starbucks Saving Tips celebrity chefs Oct 11, 2010 5 Things You May Not Know About Giada De Laurentiis Holiday Dec 05, 2013 101 Appetizers Perfect For Any Occasion Link Time Dec 18, 2012 Lil Links: Are Video Games to Blame For Violent Behavior?
