Do You Own a Grill Pan?

In the Summer, I prefer to eat light flavors and — especially if it's as hot as it is in San Francisco today — avoid the oven as much as possible. For these reasons, I'm obsessed with my Calphalon grill pan, possibly the best $40 investment in the world. What about you? Are you a frequent user of the grill pan?

we, too, have the lodge reversible cast-iron grill top, which i do love, but agree that clean up is a b****...we like to bbq outside when we can, but have to use a charcoal grill at our apt complex, which can be time-consuming when you're not starting dinner until 8:00 pm

I just got an All-Clad one as a shower gift and used it this weekend and made my best bacon yet. And easy clean-up! I have seen the light. Now I just need a reason to use my new griddle.

Yes, I have one however the house we moved to doesn't have the right stove to use this on (the one I have is for range stove tops.)

I wouldn't mind having one -- and I would use it, especially in Winter months -- but I just don't have sufficient kitchen ventilation to make it work.

I'm not sure I'd know what to do with one of these. I have an indoor/outdoor grill anyway.

Schaianne, are you in Virginia? I'm in TX over here.. so it's always Too Hot or humid to grill. Grilling down here is like sweating in a sauna.. summoning up mosquitoes and asking for a nightly fever and maybe malaria. It would be a perfect purchase for me, unless I had a handle grill person to do my grilling. My dad was great like that. (My husband, now, can only whip up a sandwich, ha ha.) So yeah, I only like to grill during fall or spring down here. I love your Unicorn tattoo, btw.. very neat.

I would just find this a waste of money. I have a grill outside that I use. And mine's propane so no hassle with charcoal! :D

Woah, thank you for posting this. I've been looking for something like this for about a year now. The George Foreman just doesn't cut it for grilled meat and veggies. It makes food feel like plastic in my mouth and stuff taste... just wrong, even with spices. I'm going to tell my mom I want that for my birthday soon. :)

yes i do have one and it gets a lot of use by my man since he's always trying to find ways to grill meat/fish/chicken while we're stuck in our little apartment in NYC. :) i don't know what we would have done w/o it since sometimes you just can't do a product justice when you pop it in the oven.

i use it in the winter, in the summer we pull out our little grill.

We have one, but it's mostly just used in the winter time. My husband has a gas and a charcoal grill outside so those are the ones we use the most. The other is reserved for when it's too cold or raining outside.

I own an All-Clad grill pan... but sadly, it does not reside with me and is in storage, as my kitchen does not have room for all my assortments of cooking things, and I had to pick and choose what I use the most. Once I am no longer in a long-distance marriage and we are not paying for two places in two of the most expensive cities in the country so we can afford something bigger, I'm sure I'll use it again!

I have a non-stick grill pan and we use it all the time for sandwiches, chicken, quesadillas, veggies. It's so great I just recently gave away our panini maker.

I love mine but agree the clean up is horrible. Lucky me, hubby does it for me. And the outdoor grill is just as easy and better tasting, but if we just want a grilled veggies sammie, indoors works fabulous. All in all, I love mine.

My parents got me the Le Creuset one for my birthday. I still haven't tried it yet though.

My mom bought me a le creuset grill pan several years ago and I use it all the time! It is now my go-to wedding gift for friends.

These are ideal for apartment dwellers with a tiny terrace - I use my Emerial pan all the time! And it flips over for pancakes!

I don't know if I'd use a grill. When I cook hamburgers indoors, there's too much smoke and grease, and the house ends up smelling like meat, so I only grill outside.

I have one - it was free with the purchase of the rest of my cookware. However, I rarely use it since I generally use the outdoor grill - the mild weather of the Bay Area allows for that pretty much year round.But, I do love it when I use it!
