Hard Candy: Do You Suck or Chew?

I have a friend who says there are two types of people: those who have the patience to suck on a piece of hard candy until it's gone, and those who bite into it midway through. (Almost as pressing as the great over/under TP debate!)

As much as I'd like to say I'm patient, I usually chomp down about halfway in. How about you?

same as spectra. if i chew right away, it all gets stuck in my teeth...do not want cavities!

I'm with Spectra too, but sometimes I crunch done a wee bit early and it drives my fiance nuts, especially when we have Werther's.

stellaRuby: I'm with your husband, I'm afraid! :) I suck on chocolate too, or at least let it melt in my mouth. I don't understand people who just chew a square of chocolate. You don't get the proper flavour, most of it ends up in your teeth (same with hard candies, actually!) and it's gone in about five seconds flat.

I like to chew it. I have a phobia of choking on hard candy because it's slippery.

The second the candy hits my mouth I crunch it. My husband is the opposite. He sucks on chocolate-totally grosses me out.

I'm a cruncher. Actually, when I had my braces on (I had adult braces, oy), my orthodontist banned me from all hard candy because I kept breaking brackets off with it. SweetTarts were the worst, but I did it with Jolly Ranchers too.
