Do You Treat Yourself to a Coffee Drink Daily?

For as long as I can remember, I've started my morning routine with a trip to a local coffee shop. I always order the same thing (a double short cappuccino) and normally hit up Tully's because it has the cheapest drinks around. Earlier this week, when I asked Susannah if she was up for coffee, she shocked me by saying she was no longer going out to coffee on a daily basis. Sure, it's a great way to save money, but it's one of life's little luxuries that I can't seem to give up. How about you?

I LOVE my morning coffee. Philz is the best local coffee shop in my area and it was only a short time ago that I frequented it just about every morning. However, the $3.50 a day adds up, so I've started making my own morning brew. On a coffee press, it comes close to being just as good ;)

Coffee drinks, especially from Starbucks, tend to lead to all sorts of gastro-intestinal issues for me, so I stopped drinking them, even occasionally.

Is this poll asking if we treat ourselves to coffee at a coffee shop outside of our home? The way it's worded in the title makes it sound like it's all coffee. I have an espresso machine at home, I make myself a soy Caramel Raspberry Latte every morning. It comes out to less than a dollar everyday. I don't have to drive to get it, don't have to stand in line, and don't have to settle for vanilla soy milk instead of regular. I bought the machine for about $40, it's a Mr. Coffee and I LOVE it.

I do. But, I use a Starbucks card so I can earn free drinks and only budget a certain amount to it each month. If I have time or am off from work (which only happens two days a month) I make a pot of coffee, mix it with a splenda simple syrup with orange extract and chocolate soy milk that I then refrigerate for my own version of an iced orange mocha with lower calories that I can enjoy in place of my Starbucks. I do think that I might spend too much time at my Starbucks drive-thru though....they know me by name and automatically put my order in when I pull up. They even know when one of my staff is buying for me as a treat because I'll hear about how I "sent somebody else" for my drink the next time I come in!

I rarely buy coffee. I have a Keurig at home and one at work and that's pretty much where all my coffee comes from. I like plain ol' black coffee though - so its not worth going elsewhere for that. I think with the current economy, coffee drinks are one of the first things people cut. With the increased prices at Starbucks for "labor intensive" beverages, my sister who used to be OBSESSED with them (we're talking 2 venti mochas a day for about 5 years) just gave it up a few weeks ago. With the extra shots and pumps, her drink was increased to $6.50 a pop. That's crazy!

I treat myself to coffee every day, but I make it at home because I can make the coffee the way I like it and it has fewer calories.

I used to do my daily afternoon coffee treat, but since I work for my hubby at home he sometimes brings them home to me as a surprise. @ Yum, I believe you should pleasure yourself daily, if not hourly - Eat, Drink and Be Merry Every Day of your life! That's my mantra and I'm sticking with it!

I almost always brew my own coffee at home. I can buy a whole bag of beans for what it costs for a "grande" with an undertow at a specialty coffee shop. It saves a lot of clams...which can be spent on quality BACON!

I used to, but sadly just about 1 or 2 times per week these days. Saves me a lot of $ though. Office coffee might not be as tasty, but it's free!

I love going to get coffee every day, but right now I'm trying something new and bringing my own coffee and lunch every single day. It takes some getting used to — we'll see how it goes!

I don't treat myself to any food or drinks that are made by other people on a regular basis. If I wanted coffee, I'd make it myself. Same goes for sandwiches and everything.

I try to drink tea during the week. I rarely go out an pick up a coffee. Seem like when I do, I'm usually with someone who suggests it.

In the mornings I make my own version of a mocha (hot chocolate with a couple scoops of instant coffee) to get my caffeine fix. If I do go out for coffee, I go to Starbucks or a local coffee joint.

Way too many calories to make it a regular thing! It's now an occasional treat/meal!
