Popular since Victorian times (and featured in the first episode of Downton Abbey!), kedgeree is a relic of the British occupation of India, a British concoction stirred up to soothe nostalgic palates. Composed of curry and herb-flecked rice, flaked fish, and hard-boiled eggs, it's generally served at breakfast or brunch as a way to economize on leftovers in an enticing manner.
