European-Style Biscuit Cookies: Love Them or Hate Them?

Recently, I received an email from a PR representative asking me if I wanted to sample Biscoff cookies, "a European treat that's developed a cult-like following among Americans." The company happens to be opening its first US retail store at San Francisco's Pier 39. While I wasn't familiar with the brand Biscoff, I love European-style cookies, so naturally, I said yes. The cookies, which are sometimes called biscuits, are a flavorful accompaniment to coffee. They are crisp and taste like a cross between a graham cracker and animal crackers. Have you ever had them? Are you a fan?

argh, i used to love speculoos, but after living in the land of speculoos they can get tiresome, and are super addictive - it's hard to stop at just one; i am not fond of american-style cookies, so yeah, i only eat the european varities (italian mini-cakes and cookies are the best)

I love these cookies. They're sold online at Biscoff.com if you have a craving and they're not available nearby.

I love these. I'm originally from WI and was lucky that Biscoff is available at three local food stores near my house. I've moved to ATL and since I've been here for 2 months have not been able to find. I had my sister mail me a pack since I can eat a pack a month by myself.

I don't buy cookies for the most part, but these sound like they'd be OK.

I love, love, love speculaas cookies. I was so disappointed to discover that in the US you don't get speculaas, or anything else for that matter, with your coffee or tea. Around Saint Nicolas they make giant santa-shaped ones in Belgium. I love the lotus-brand ones. For those who love the cookie, Lotus makes speculaas-pasta, it's used like nutella but speculaas flavored. Speculaas is a mixture of spices such as nutmeg, clove, cinnamon and ground corriander.

My parents, who grew up on the other side of the world cannot get enough of these! Not this specific brand, and they don't call them European-style, they refer to them as tea biscuits, cuz they are so good with tea as they are sweet enough to go with unsweetened tea but not too sweet to not go with sweetened tea.

I grew up on these. My favorite brand is Leibniz-Keks (German), but Biscoff is great too.

These are the best! You know you can buy them even at Walgreens (or many grocery stores) in a white packet for really cheap! Beware, highly addictive, but worth every calorie.

These are addictive. They're not super sweet like our cookies and are definitely more similar to crackers but still really good.

Apparently you didn't fly Delta much. They used to always give these away instead of peanuts, which I thought was awesome. I love them!

I love them! It is really the only redeeming fact about flying! I never thought to buy them... but I would love to sit with tea/coffee (hot or iced) with one or two of these. YUmmmmmm.

We get these on flights sometimes, and we liked them so much we went out and bought them to have at home with tea! I don't know if it's just because we are so hungry by the time we get food on a plane, but I'm definitely a fan!!!
