What's the Best Chocolate Dessert You've Ever Had?

Although I don't Tivo it, whenever I come across the Food Network's series The Best Thing I've Ever Ate, I can't help but tune in. I love hearing about the preferred dishes of celebrity chefs and learning how the restaurants prepare them.

Since we're all about chocolate this week, I want to know what's the best chocolate dessert you've ever had? Was it an amazing brownie? A scrumptious molten cake? An unbelievable gelato? Please share your most memorable chocolate experiences with us below!

Lava Chocolate Cake in a Restaurant in Oaxaca, Mex. And Mexican Chocolate Creme Brulee (Creme Brulee Cart) at the Eat Real Festival.

chocolate backpack at red light in chicago! it's unbelievable! probably a 4-5 inch tall, hollow but super thick chocolate cube filled with mousse, fruit, and a raspberry sauce. absolutely incredible and it's definitely one of my favorite food memories [that entire meal was insane!] i highly recommend red light!

Chocolate fondue with a toasted marshmallow at Geja's Cafe was one of my best memories, but it was about 10 years ago. I also really like my gianduja chocolate mousse!

There's a chocolate cake at this bakery called Metropol here in Eugene. They make a cake called "September 7th Cake" that is TO DIE. Chocolate cake, with an inch of whipped cream filling, frosted with chocolate mousse. Love.

Chocolate souffle cake with butter pecan ice cream from Stark's Steakhouse in Santa Rosa, Ca. Plus a glass of Warre's 1977 port. :)

Chocolate No-No Bark. It's a layer of saltine crackers with a butter/brown sugar mix over it followed by a layer of melted chocolate. Refrigerate it overnight. Hands down the best and most addictive chocolate dessert I've ever eaten

I love a basic, chewy fudge brownie with a little bit of fudge frosting on top! For something a little more upscale, FishBones (in Central Florida) has a delicious chocolate cherry dessert --- a giant, thin chocolate brownie with a little ball of chocolate cherry and vanilla mousse covered in ganache, all of it drizzled with chocolate sauce and garnished with glazed cherries. Mmmm!
