Let's Dish: What's Your Favorite Mexican Food?

All this margarita talk has got me craving Mexican food! While I love a delicious bowl of guacamole and an addictive queso, my all-time favorite Mexican dish is tacos. Salmon tacos, beef tacos, chicken tacos — I don't discriminate against certain proteins. Hard tacos, soft tacos: what's not to love about this versatile dish that can be filled and topped with an endless array of ingredients? On the eve of National Margarita Day, I want to know: what's your preferred order at a Mexican restaurant?

I can't pick just one or even 2! I love hard tacos made with beans (veggie), nachos, enchiladas, tamales... *drools all over keyboard*

While it used to be burritos, I have to go with enchiladas now. I very much prefer flour tortillas, but I have to eat gluten-free now.

Enchiladas! I'm gluten free, so Mexican food makes my heart sing for all the corn flour they use instead of white/wheat flour.

Chimichangas - but I think that's more Tex-Mex. Carnitas tacos are so good.

Black bean, corn and cheddar enchiladas. Worth the trouble! I love Mexican, so many great vegetarian options.

Tamales, but its probably because I only have them once a year. After that I think it would be carnitas or fajitas. Mexican is definitely my favorite food.

Mexican food is my absolute favorite food. Seriously, I should have just been born in Mexico! The first meal I ever wanted to learn to cook was chorizo tostadas! Still one of my very favorites! I love tacos too. The only thing I've tried that I didn't like was menudo. I'm really not a tripe kinda gal. :)

Carnitas! The crispy, tender, flavorful kind, in soft corn tortillas. Yum.

Oh, dear. This is too hard. I don't know if I can answer it. I think I'd have to go for queso. I just can't ever say no.

Oh, this place I used to go with friends when I lived in Tucson had these fabulous enchiladas de la casa. I've moved away, but I've dreamed about them. Chicken in a cream-based sauce. Completely unhealthy but wonderful tasting!
