I have always had a special spot in my heart for the traditional Cuban mojito, but Alan Wong's reinvention of the drink includes lilikoi (passion fruit), tarragon, mint, watermelon, and cachaca. It won me over with its fruity complexity! It was so good that I plan on experimenting with tarragon and other unconventional herbs in cocktails.

lol same here! as soon as i step off the plane i make a beeline for the nearest manapua shop! and oh man, there's a great asian market near me (on the mainland) that actually sells frozen Zippy's chili and Portuguese sausage and mochi :D now if they would just stock up on Zippy's vegetarian chili i'd be all set!

Brina- I agree! For me, Leonard's and Matsumoto's are a must when I go back home to visit my parents for the holidays! Also...don't forget the chili at Zippy's!!!

I can't believe you didn't mention Giovanni's Shrimp Truck for the North Shore shrimp trucks. Yum! Also I love the spam musabi at 7 Eleven on Waikiki Beach!
