Get Your Pie On

Ten years ago today, Bill Gates was hit in the face with a cream pie by infamous pie thrower Noël Godin — whose hobby is throwing pies at celebrities — while traveling in Brussels. After watching the video, I thought it would be fun to put together a little quiz about pies. I'll list the ingredients and you choose the pie they make. Ready to start?

I think this is the best quiz I've ever taken on the sugar network! I got 50%, but I haven't even heard of some of these pies, so...eh.

Ohmigod, it's so good. It's a Southern pie for sure: eggs, butter, sugar, brown sugar too and cornmeal and vinegar. It really is good and super sweet!

In all my pecan pie eating I have done living in the South... I have never came across one with bourbon in it. Nor have I seen a Key lime pie with yellow filling. They have always been a gorgeous shade of pale green... and seriously it is my all time favorite pie at Houston's. Yum! But it is also the easiest pie to screw up. Cause I have seen some really nasty versions of it. Ugh.

I think you got something wrong there yum. The shepherds pie is originally made with lamb, so for the mince meat, carrots and onion question, the correct answer would be a mince meat pie or a cottage pie.
