Glass Pig Salt and Pepper Shakers: Love It Or Hate It?

I came across this $63 pair of handblown glass pig-shaped salt and pepper shakers and immediately had to know what you thought about them. On one hand they're really spectacular in that each piece is created by hand (no molds used), on the other I just don't think I'm that into them. While I'll admit they're on the cute side, I just don't know if I want them in my house. What do you guys think? Do you love or hate this pig and piglet set?

they're cute. even if i didnt use them as salt and pepper shaker, i could still use as a coffee table/bookcase decoration

and gosh Alicia, I feel for you there. I really hope that today's parents will consider carefully designating their daughter's personal animal to be the pig. :) no offense to your family. they all have good intentions!

i saw several pig salt and pepper shakers in an antique store this weekend. apparently they are prevalent. and a heck of a lot cheaper if you really are into pigs. they were all under $10. I briefly considered a set of pigs to remind me not to BE one at the table, but then I decided not to be so hard on myself!

OK so maybe I'm slightly biased, but in our family they have an awful habit of randomly picking something out for each person and forever after inundating them with that thing...mine was pigs!!! so unfortunately, even though they are on the right side of cute... I am loathe to really like anything pig related. you would feel my pain if every gift you've received since who knows when were pig related (baring those of course that truly love pigs-no issue). everything from socks to banks to towels!!! urgh!

They are neat and I know a friend who would like them, but they're not for me. I'm not really into any kind of kitchen decor w/animals.

ohh pigs are so meaningful for me, it's a joke between me and my fiancé, we're a couple of pigs you see... :) I totally love these, they're incredibly cute and just a tad tacky which completely appeals to me!
