Grapefruit: Love It or Hate It?

Some people are nearly fanatical about grapefruit, while others won't even drink it if it's mixed into a delicious cocktail. Since this polarizing but healthy citrus fruit is in season right now, I'm wondering how you feel about it.

I love ruby red grapefruits...I eat them a lot at lunchtime.

OMG, I love grapefruit. My sister and I used to split one for breakfast in the morning and we'd eat them completely plain, no sugar or anything. What's really funny is that my sis told me that now my nephew, who's 13 months old, loves them as well. I guess we're a grapefruit-loving family!

I have always loved grapefruits both the yellow flesh and ruby reds. I have never found them to be bitter.

I used to hate them but my fiance got me started on ruby red... I'm still not a big fan of the yellow kind but ruby reds are wonderful!

For a fantastic brunch course, tip half a shot of vodka (or more!) into a halved grapefruit, sprinkle with sugar, and broil for 3 minutes. Mmmm...

I heard that grapefruit interferes with oral contraceptives so I dont eat it but who knows...a nurse told me that once.

I hated it as a kid, and haven't had it in awhile. I still think it would probably be too sour for me but I should really try it again before making such judgments. I do like soaps etc. in pink grapefruit scent though!
