I'm one of those people who gets a double shot of espresso each and every morning. Naturally, I got super excited when I saw this handy little gadget, the Handpresso. It's a hand-held contraption that produces tasty espresso anywhere, anytime. After watching the video, I imagined myself toting one in my oversized handbag. I could offer passengers waiting for the bus little glasses of espresso! Only when I read the fine print — it needs hot water to function — did I realize this might not be so cool. Still the luxurious thought of espresso anywhere, anytime entices me. What do you think? Is the Handpresso great or destined for a doomed fate?

how handy!
1in essence i love this contraption. it's small and convenient. i don't think i'd taking it hiking but does look like a big help in the morning! i don't like the fact that you have to purchase the espresso filters. i would rather if one could use fresh ground beans instead. also at about $150 i think i would be more likely to pay just more that double for a lower-end counter top machine with steam wand.

5Hmm, I would have to try it myself. I have big doubts that it actually pulls shots as nice as they look in the video. The promotional videos for the cheapy machines make them look nice, too.
6does it come with glasses too?! or do you need to bring mugs while hiking too?
7You might as well make the expresso and put it in the thermos! Silly. This is the easiest way to make expresso (it might work on a campfire also).
