Last Tuesday I hosted a small soirée to wish a co-worker a happy wedding weekend. Although it was informal, there's still a lot of planning to do for an office party. You have to get the correct amount of sparkling wine and serve food that can be created in the office kitchen. Have you thrown one?

I sure have. In fact, I've hosted many, many parties for others. In my entire life, I've only hosted one party for myself. It's ironic.

I'm on the party planning committee and we've also done department parties for various life events for coworkers

I've done a few baby showers. It's fun because you're spending the company's money instead of your own!
