Ingredients

1 turkey dog
1 large romaine lettuce leaf
2 tablespoons alfalfa sprouts
1 tablespoon tomato, diced
1 tablespoon avocado, diced
1 tablespoon red onion, diced

Directions

  1. Fill a pot with water and bring to a boil. Add crosscut slices to the hot dog to allow steam to escape when boiling. Cook for 2-4 minutes, or until the hot dog floats and the crosscuts pucker open.
  2. Fill the lettuce leaf with a bed of alfalfa sprouts and the turkey dog. Top with heirloom tomatoes, avocado, and red onion.

Ingredients

24 ounces pilsner
1 all-beef hot dog
2 tablespoons sauerkraut
6 ounces stout
1 hot dog bun

Directions

  1. Add the pilsner to a pot and bring to a simmer.
  2. Spiral cut the hot dog by running a knife around it before cooking. Simmer in the lager for 2-4 minutes, or until the hot dog floats and the cuts pucker open.
  3. Meanwhile, warm the sauerkraut and the stout in a skillet set over medium heat.
  4. Serve warm in a hot dog bun topped with a heaping scoop of sauerkraut.
