I had to peel and de-vein thousands of shrimp as a kid (parents owned a Chinese restaurant and put me to work).

My father can peel shrimp with his teeth simply by swiping bits off of it while holding it in his chopsticks. I want that skill.

it's funny - cause when i was younger we would go to this place that had peel and eat shrimp, and i thought that i was really doing it all there since i was taking off the shell thing, and some other stuff. only was it when i got older and realized that there was a head and everything that was already taken off in preparation did i realize that maybe i don't like the idea of it anymore. at least now i'm a veggie so i don't have to worry about it - but it's like the whole fish thing - i don't like to eat anything that has eyes and can see me - and even if it's dead i feel like it can see me.
