Jerky: Love It or Hate It?

A couple of Summers ago my mom and I were driving and passed a roadside stand that sold "every kind of jerky" — including bison and venison. We wondered who would stop to purchase the jerky. Fast forward a few hours and we arrive home to find my father snacking on jerky he bought from the stand! Normally I'm not a huge fan of beef jerky, but when I tasted Jamie Lauren's moist and delicious version, which I had at Absinthe, I loved it. How do you feel about jerky?

I'm going to sound like an ignorant Brit, but I've no idea what a jerky is, but judging by the photo, I'll have to say no, cos it's looks horrible.

I love it, but I'm picky about it. The stuff you get at rest stops on the highway--blech (and really, I tend to enjoy it most on road trips). My hometown meat locker (in Pemberville, Ohio) made some great jerky, though. Too bad it can't be shipped to Canada... Maybe my family will bring some when they visit in September.

Love it.When I first tried it in college, I was addicted. I would snack on it continuously. I've slowed down now.

I love jerky, even though I don't really normally like meat (I know, it's weird). My brother in law makes the most amazing venison jerky every year and I eat that stuff like it's candy.
