Let's Dish: What Do You Eat When Hung Over?

Note to self: Mondays are not the new Saturdays. After judging a bartender karaoke competition hosted by Chartreuse on Monday night, I was hurting big time yesterday. An excruciating hangover usually comes with an intense craving for nourishment. While sometimes I opt for a bagel and cream cheese or an egg sandwich, this time I was hungry for the salty crunch of potato chips. Luckily I had a bag of Cape Cod's jalapeno and aged cheddar chips at my desk.

Whether it's greasy, spicy, or porky, there's always that one thing you must have to help overcome a hangover. So tell me, what's yours? What foods do you eat when hung over?

my well-tested hangover cure: soup, a gatorade, and one beer.

the best thing to do when ur hung over is to drink fluids, such as pedialite, gatorade , powerade or even water, eating will only want to make u go and vommitt more, the answer= we loose all our fluids,our electrolights, and we are due to dehydration, so all the above that i put up to drink is the best to get back up on your feet and feel better, all these drinks are fluids, thats why the commercials in gatorade say thirst quencher, cause the body is dehydrated, doing this will help the body loose its hangover, but to eat, i dont recommend it, or if u do eat, its best to eat something light, like a bowl of fruits, NO MEAT ,FISH,TAMALES, ETC. nothing heavy.

It really depends. Sometimes I can't eat at all. All day. Other times I'll eat something like an egg salad sandwich... and a large ice cold coke. I don't like being hungover. Sometimes I get a bit queezy the day after so I try to restrict any big meals.

the greasy english muffin with eggs and cheese or the hashbrowns with ketchup ... but once i'm done plowing through it i feel GROSS. ugh, can't win 'em all.

i really don't drink-2 diet mountain dews the reason u crave carbs/salt/grease is due to dehydration

Pho or porridge. I think I may be the only one to say this, but the smell of greasey foods make me feel even more queasy...

I dont get hungover anymore, but when i did the best cure for it was a big toasted Everything bagel , real thick cream cheese and Lox. nothing better.

Uhh, I've only been hungover once... and I didn't really want to eat anything. I was just too queasy.

i love those jalapeno aged cheddar chips! cape cod potato chips are the best. my hangover food is something greasy - pizza or a cheeseburger or a big fat omlette with hash browns

Vitamin G! Large order of McDonald's Fries and a large coke (non-diet), follow with lots of water.

Breakfast food!!!!! A big ol' pancake or huge meaty omelet fixes me up. Mexican also is to die for when hung over.

I'm with the majority--a bacon, egg, & cheese breakfast sandwich with a tall glass of water and a cup of coffee. If I'm REALLY hungover and feel nauseous, I'll stick to wheat toast with PB&J, and of course the water & coffee.

Sprite (or Sierra Mist) but only as a fountain drink, not from a can or bottle. Also the bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit from McDonalds, although I like that even when I don't have a hangover haha. Basically any combination of bread and grease, but nothing too sweet (pancakes and syrup or jelly.)
