Martha Stewart is an ex-model, ex-con, and the ultimate do-it-yourself hostess. She's built an empire out of teaching people how to entertain, cook, and craft.
It's obvious that's she's not afraid of making waves, and she recently rocked the boat when she dissed Rachael Ray on Nightline.
Although some people don't like her, I've always been a huge fan and have nothing but admiration for Martha. How do you feel about her?

Name-calling "ex-con"? Obviously "huge fan" is totally bogus. Martha Stewart did not "diss" Rachel Ray; this was a media distortion instigated by the mendacious Cynthia McFadden of Nightline and plagiarized by the rest of media. Martha has a right to define who she is and what she stands for in response to McFeddan's baiting, and she did so with no malice toward or "dissing" of Rachel Ray. Any "rocking of the boat" or "controversy" was entirely media created and driven by media-baiting with distortions.
1I love her...
2I couldn't say I "love her" (tho I did). She's a complicated person and there's much about her that's arrogant, neglectful of those whose work she takes credit for, affected and cringe-worthy. Still, and importantly, she has very high standards and provides an enormous wealth of information that could otherwise have been lost to this generation. That has to be recognized and appreciated.
On the whole, I think she's a genuine contributor to our culture and our individual efforts and an important role model for women in business and media. If she's not a role model on a personal level, well, a *lot* of public people aren't.
3I like her. I don't think she dissed Rachael Ray; she was just acknowledging that they have very different approaches to food/cooking. Martha is all about doing everything the long, made-from-scratch way and Rachael has all kinds of shortcuts that make recipes more accessible to average people. I must say that I prefer Martha's recipes to Rachael's, only because it seems like they work a lot better.
4As far as Martha v Rachel, Martha merely said what was true. Rachel acknowledged that much.
5At the moment, Martha's my fave here in the house. Thanks to her instructions for spatchcocking a turkey, I was able to survive cooking my first complete Thanksgiving meal and desserts.
6Love her!
7I absolutely love Martha Stewart. She represents a sort of domestic bliss and serenity I strive to create in my own home.
8dont care for her
9Love her love her love her! She didn't diss RR, she simply stated a truth. I don't think that RR felt dissed either, she said that she agreed with what Martha said. I like them both!
10meh!she's alright
11I don't care for Martha. I don't care for Rachel either, for that matter. LOL
12Lol GlowingMoon, I agree.
13omg, did anyone watch the martha stewart show?!!??! RR is trying to have a conversation and being all nice, but Martha is just plain RUDE! She keeps cutting Rachel Ray off and talking to her like she is stupid....
I love Martha Stewart, but I totally lost respect for this woman as a person! Regardless, she is one of the best cooks out there, though.
