Did you have a chance to score big with free Denny's Grand Slams earlier this month? Don't worry if you didn't, because you've got another free breakfast waiting for you. Tomorrow, Denny's rival IHOP will be giving out free short stacks of pancakes. In observance of the momentous occurrence known as National Pancake Day, the beacon of all things breakfast will be doling out three free buttermilk pancakes to dine-in guests who eat between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m. tomorrow — no purchase necessary. In return, the breakfast house asks that you consider donating to its charity Children's Miracle Network, or any other local charitable organization. Are you marking your calendar?

Oh, I miss pancake day! We have three within a reasonable distance from my high school, so everyone used to skip out and go for breakfast .. or lunch, lol!
We don't have one close to my college, so I'll be missing out this year. :[

I had a friends child one morning and I took them to IHop. I ordered a kiddie meal and boy was it SMALL! The one piece of chicken looked the length of my pinky finger. And the bowl of fruit had only one or two of everything. It was just TOO small and I was told the opposite when I ordered it. It literally looked so darn miniature.
My meal was just okay when it came to the taste, nothing too special to me. And the waitress did more talking to the nice looking young cook behind the counter, than assisting the other customers too. Then she honestly wanted a big tip in the end.
Now I understand that this was just one IHop and I shouldn't judge them all by this one, but boy did it sour me. So I don't care what's free - I won't be going.
