New Southern Cookbooks Fall 2012

Part society memoir and part cookbook, My Beverly Hills Kitchen: Classic Southern Cooking with a French Twist ($20) by Alex Hitz focuses on Southern-French fusion fare. We're itching to whip up Sally Lunn bread (a brioche-like no-knead bread), crab tarts (a crab quiche turned passed appetizer), and a bacon-wrapped breadstick party bite Hitz gleaned from society icon Nan Kempner.
