Off to Market Recap: Salad Spinner

Since they're one of my favorite kitchen gadgets, I recently decided to invest in a salad spinner. I asked you to help me by heading off to market in search of superb salad spinners. You looked for efficient spinners that are easy to clean, and avoided spinners that are too bulky for a small kitchen. You saved the spinners in the Yum Market on TeamSugar with the keyword tag, Salad Spinner. I really like this red plastic salad spinner that FinnLover bookmarked. The modern spinner has a stop button and is dishwasher safe. The best thing about this kitchen must have, is its space saving and stackable design! When I was growing up - long before Salad Spinners were available to buy, my Mother got the same result by wrapping the lettuce in a CLEAN pillow case, and then putting it in the washing machine on the spin cycle. It worked like a charm! And since the spin cycle doesn't use any water or soap or anything, the lettuce tasted perfectly fresh :)

You know...I never thought I would ever use a salad spinner. Seemed too bulky and too limited in its use. Then, my roommate bought one. Now we use it almost daily!
