Yard sales, garage sales and estate sales are all excellent places to score "vintage"/old glass decanters, unusual bottles and such. I found loads of reusable jars and gift bottles that way. The other thing I do is let my friends and relatives know what type of containers I am collecting (and why...LOL) and they usually are more than happy to share.
