Let's Dish: What's Your Favorite Pancake Topping?

Lately I've been craving pancakes, especially topped with my favorite Summer bounty like fresh peaches or berries. Drizzle some warm maple syrup over that, maybe add a dollop of homemade whipped cream, and you've got a mouthwatering stack of cakes perfect for breakfast, brunch, or even dessert. I'm also a huge fan of pancakes topped with a blueberry syrup or compote.

So tell me, what's your favorite pancake topping?

I'm not a syrup fan.. it always upsets my stomach. Too sweet or maybe it's the syrup (syrupy anything kinda upsets my stomach). I like strawberries and/or bananas, powdered sugar or whipped cream. Sometimes I get adventurous and do something like peanut butter and banana and some powdered sugar... that's actually really good.

I'm with skigurl. For some reason I am more adventurous in my waffle toppings, but for pancakes I usually stick to a little butter and maple syrup.

Bananas!!! Sometimes I just use a little syrup, but bananas are my fave!

usually I like a plain pancake with straight up fresh maple syrup, or a banana pancake with the same. maybe butter. I mean I wouldn't turn down a nice compote but I like to keep it simple.
