PartySugar Behind the Bash: Macy's Culinary Council PartySugar Behind the Bash: Macy's Culinary Council Oct 17 2008 • By partysugar 0 3 On Saturday night at the Food Network's NYC Wine and Food Festival, Macy's hosted a a delightful party at The Xchange. The ninth-floor space was packed with party-goers and celebrity chefs. I was lucky enough to attend the soiree. Here, you'll find my backstage guide to the event. The Crowd What’s Your Reaction? 0 0 0 0 0 0 The crowd was an interesting mix of fans, chefs, industry insiders, and food professionals. I was excited to finally meet the Food Network Addict. I selected the light-colored concoction made with gin. The Picture Wall What’s Your Reaction? 0 0 0 0 0 0 Before entering the party, the celebrity chefs and VIPs posed in front of this wall. It was surprisingly small! The Food What’s Your Reaction? 0 0 0 0 0 0 The party started late (it went from 10:30 p.m. to 2 a.m.), but there were passed appetizers in the form of hot dogs. Each miniature hot dog was created by a different chef. Tyler Florence's "cioppino dog" is on the right.
