What's Your Top Bagel Topping?

This bagel pic on the Breakfast Blog inspires me to change my bagel toppings with the seasons, taking advantage of heirloom tomatoes and cucumbers in the Summer, in addition to cream cheese. What do you like to put on your bagels?

Whatever we've got around the house. Today it was fresh spinach, muenster cheese, farmers market tomatoes (so flavorful!) and avocado, all toasted. It was amazing.

Cream cheese, avocado, green pesto, ruccola salad, tomatoes and chicken! Yum!

On cinnamon raisin bagels, I like butter and cinnamon sugar. On every other kind of bagel, I like cream cheese.

vegetable cream cheese...but lox is good. my boyfriend puts hummus on his.

My friend tipped me off to the pleasure of a toasted everything bagel, with cream cheese and bacon! A ridiculously obvious choice that I never thought of, and a great alternative for those of us who like the creamy, salty and smoky aspects of cream cheese and lox, but are averse to seafood. Basically, salmon is icky; bacon is delicious.

I usually melt munster cheese on a plain bagel in the oven and top it with fresh tomatoes from the garden. Delicious!

I'm going with lox and cream cheese, but I'm not a huge bagel eater unless it's an onion bagel. I did make some baba ganoush (sp ?) and add a homegrown red cherry bomb pepper, just one and it became a super spicy dip; so my 2am snack was bagel with baba and my garden toms and sea salt - super delish - even the dogger loved it!

My favorite topping "concoction" is cream cheese mixed with shredded cheddar cheese and diced onions. I spread that on the bagel and then put under the broiler until the cheese is melted and bubbly. It's SO GOOD!

Usually light, plain cream cheese but I also loooove lox and have it as a treat - it's just that sometimes I crave a comforting, plain bagel and the lox wouldn't cut it in that situation
