Pigs in a Blanket With Puff Pastry Dough Recipe
Killer App: Pigs in a Blanket
College football season is back, and with it the need for tailgate food! Game-day eats are one of my favorite parts of Fall, and an appetizer that I never tire of is pigs in a blanket. You may be surprised, but there are actually tons of variations out there.
The possibilities are endless: puff pastry, pie dough, or pizza dough? Miniature sausages, cocktail weenies, or hot dogs? And we haven't even started on the dipping sauces!
Recently, I made this super easy piggy in a blankie. All you have to do is take your favorite sausage or hot dog, wrap in puff pastry, slice, and bake! Pair with spicy mustard and you've got a snack that's sure to please your friends and family (especially the men in your life). For the recipe, really it's more like a technique, keep reading.
