Not during the meal itself, but my mom usually plays Handel's "Messiah" while she's cooking/cleaning before the meal. It's her motivational music that gets her to get stuff done, I guess.
We've never listened to music during dinner, but we're a big, loud, talkative family, music would just be background noise. I like the idea of it, but it just wouldn't work.
Like some other posters, it would do no good to try to listen to music during the meal in my family... but we DO listen to "Alice's Restaurant" and Adam Sandler's "The Thanksgiving Song"
every year while cooking. It's as traditional to us as my mom's dressing!

We always listen to old school music like Frank Sinatra. I love it!
1I bring out my Christmas CD's and play them on Thanksgiving day to kick off the holiday season!
2I have never played music, but I love both of those ideas!
3I like to play lounge music, Like soft jazz.

6Same as #6 my family is really talkative too, there would be no use to play music because we would never hear it!
