Last time I went shopping at Whole Foods, I came across some tomatoes that were so dainty, the smallest ones were tinier than my baby fingernail! I found them incredibly adorable and, admittedly for this reason only, found myself shelling out $4 for a carton. Have you ever been swayed to buy something just because it's (almost) too cute to eat?

I am a sucker for anything cute.
1Or even marketed cute.
I'm a sucker for anything mini!
2MIni bacon strips always get me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
3this is why i buy kiwi!
4Baby grapes! (Or as they are otherwise known, Champagne grapes.) Seriously cute as well as delicious!
I have also, for the last two years purchased a variety of tomato plant called 'Jellybean,' as they are supposed to be the size of...well, you know. How cute would that be? But between them getting chomped by rabbits the first year, and the crappy tomato season overall this year, I have gotten only THREE stinkin' tomatoes from them total. I must admit they are awfully cute, though.
5any fun-shaped pasta.... I made heart shaped (and colored with tomato and beet juice, red and pink with regular white) pasta for my beau on Valentines' Day -- COULD NOT resist !
6Definitely kumquats and those baby pineapples.
And anything that looks like this...

7I agree TidalWave -- kumquats - so cute!! And, baby kiwis!! To die for
8I love anything mini, apples, oranges ,muffin's.
9And............mini bacon wrapped dogs.......woo hoo!
10I don't think I've ever bought anything simply because it's cute..
11but one day I'll take a picture of any tiny fruit or vegetable version I can find (like baby bananas, pineapples, kiwis, tomatoes and so on).
It will be a mini still life.
I'm with Roaring Silence, I buy food for it's tastiness, but now I'll be looking for cuteness - strange but true.
12I've been tempted, but my too-practical-for-words husband always talks me out of it: "That is SUCH A RIPOFF!! These ones are way cheaper!" So yeah, the voice of reason usually wins out.
13I used to buy really small cute eggplants... but then I realized that one price fits all... so I might as well buy the BIGGEST so I get more BANG for my buck.... I buy cherry tomatoes only because I like them BETTER than regular ones... I didn't really realize they were cute - ha ha.
