Quiche
Originally from the northeastern region of France called Alsace, quiche is a dish that consists of a buttery pastry shell filled with a savory egg and cream custard. The most classic quiche filling is Lorraine: a bacon and gruyere mixture. It is served as lunch, dinner, hors d'oeurves, or a first course and there are a variety of ingredients that can go into the custard from seasonings to fresh herbs and vegetables.
