Rachael Denies Being a Diva

Remember the story about Rachael Ray refusing to work without her coffee? Well, in a totally unsurprising statement, Rachael is denying the validity of it. She told OK! magazine:

Ridiculous. It's ridiculous. It's absolutely ridiculous.

Like I mentioned before, it was a second hand (so-n-so said that my friend said that blah blah saw . . .) story, and it did sound a bit too diva to be true. So what do you think? Do you think Rachael is just covering it up, or do you think it was a fake story to begin with?

My sister is the front desk manager at a resort in the Phoenix area where Rachael Ray stayed recently. According to my sister (a trusted source for me), RR was an absolute bitch to the staff, and to my sister. She even pulled the "don't you know who I am" bit when my sister asked to see her ID with her credit card at check-in. I believe all the diva "gossip" because my sister experienced it first-hand.

I dont know about this. Alot of my friends dont like her. All I can say is that I like her shows on the Food Network esp. 30 Min Meals.

I could see her getting grumpy with people since she is on the go all the time. But I would like to think she is still nice over all.

I just think she needs to lay off the coffee in general. The girl is too hyper. I loved her cooking show the first couple of years... when she could speak in a normal tone. Now she is always practically shouting when she speaks. Less caffeine would be a good idea...LOL!

it's sad that raytard feels the need to address the rumor directly. (which merely speaks to it's potential validity). I hate her and everything about her. Not because she's a successful woman, but because everything she espouses...the mediocrity, the false girlishness, everything about her is so completely D list. She represents neither the modern woman nor anything the modern woman should aspire to be. She is merely the lowest common denominator. Nothing more.

I can't stand that woman. It's her voice, her crass mannerisms, her face appearing on everything except paper towels... The worst thing is, it's not that she's a bad person, she's simply very obnoxious.

I work at a hotel in Dallas that she has stayed at many times (in our best suite!) and that woman is VERY nice. Everyone has bad days and maybe her 'coffee tantrum' was a bad day. The few occasions I have met her, she was very pleasant.

I love RR. I really don't care if she's a diva or not, she has great recipes and I will always love watching $40 a Day. Plus how funny would it be if she really called Dunkin Donuts coffee sh$t? That's just sassy, in my opinion. :)
