Rachael Ray Refuses to Work Without Her Coffee

Our pals over at Grub Street are reporting that Rachael Ray might not be the perfect Dunkin' Donuts spokesperson. After all, shouldn't a spokesperson like the product she's hawking? In a second-hand story, Rachael is being quoted as calling Dunkin' Donuts coffee sh*t. She also refused to continue until someone brought her HER coffee, which happened to be Starbucks coffee.

I'm not sure if this is true, but it does sound rather diva-like. What do you think, would it surprise you if this was true? Perhaps she was just upset about the shake-ups at her magazine?

Also, would you agree with her? Do you like Dunkin' Donuts coffee?

i actually hate dunkin donuts coffee and i thought it was just me! i was slightly traumatized when i came to the east coast and was surrounded by them. i get coffee from starbucks if i'm in a hurry, since its closer, but there's a smaller coffee place on campus i prefer to get to.

I don't like Dunkin Donuts coffee or donuts... if I had to go chain coffee on the East Coast, I'd take Au Bon Pain coffee and a Krispy Kreme any day.

I've only ever seen her on TV once (I live in Ireland, she was on Oprah). After the 15th "YUM - O" I wanted to kill everything around me....

fortunately, raytard's opinion on...anything...doesn't factor into any decision i make food related or otherwise. so...hilarious story...whether or not it and the other rumors are true are irrelevant. she's still an overexposed, 12 year old acting 40 year old who just needs to back to her cabin in the woods and stay there...so i don't ever have to hear that grating voice in another commercial ever again.

I tell you what my husband can't function without his morning coffee and is very specific about the brand that he likes and how its made. So can we give the girl a break? So she likes her coffee from Starbucks. I can only imagine how busy she is and we all have our vices, maybe hers is coffee. Now with that said I don't think she should be a spokewomen for a product she doesn't like/use/believe in....that's just false advertisement.

Dunkin' donuts is very big up here in new england, but I don't like it much. Well, I do LIKE getting a medium regular but it's so creamy and calorie-laden that I don't get it often. I find that the lite versions just aren't as tasty...I guess I don't like their actual coffee as much as I like it at other places. I usually drink tea anyway.

Oh yeah, and thankfully where I come from..there are a whole lot more Dunkin Donuts than Starbucks! And since I don't drink coffee, if I ever a drink at a coffeeplace....I can tell you this... Dunkin Donuts hot chocolate >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Starbucks hot chocolate! Ask for a flavor shot of french vanilla with your DD hot chocolate--it's DELICIOUS!

That would be messed up if she's drinking Starbucks but getting paid big money from Dunkin Donuts.. Starbucks sucks. I don't drink coffee but I never support them. They are so expensive and their drinks have more calories and fat in them then some meals! Let's get healthy America...

Love Dunkin Donuts coffee (especially if you make it 1/4 hot chocolate), but go to Starbucks for lattes and tea. Kinda sick, but we actually have 8 DD's in my town (counts all the small gas station ones). I guess New Englanders can't get enough of the DD! :)

Sounds like when Britney Spears was selling Pepsi, but had Coke brought to the commercial set. Or when a star sells hair dye, you know they only have to have one strand treated to say they "use" it. I like Starbucks alot. Its not my favorite, but I don't mind paying through the nose occasionally as they treat their employees very well. Healthcare and dental for all, even part-timers, and that is extremely hard to find these days.

Sounds like someone is getting a little too big for her spatula! I LOVE Dunkies! I about soiled myself when I saw the bags of beans in the local grocery, as we don't have DDs around here! I use a little more per cup than the bag suggests. Starbucks is just to strong and bitter for my liking.

Alright, where are all the New Englanders? I know you guys love your Dunkin Donuts coffee! When I'm on the go, I prefer DD to Starbucks coffee; however I do love the Sugar Free Skinny Cinnamon Dolce Latte at Starbucks!

"If she wants a different coffee than the one that wants to advertise with her face, who cares?" I would imagine that since she was supposedly on set filming the DUNKIN DONUTS commercial, she probably should have kept her overpaid trap shut.

Ugh I really dislike Rachael Ray now. I'm completely opposite...I HATE Starbucks coffee and love, love, love me some Dunkin. So much in fact that since I moved to the west coast, a.k.a a Dunkin-less zone, I bring it back in my suitcase when I'm visiting and order it off the internet when I run out. Dunkin Donuts and Wawa coffee are some of the tastiest east coast creations :)

Starbucks coffee is too bitter for me. As far as regular coffee goes, I'd much prefer to drink Dunkin Donuts. My favorite, though, are the tiny drive-thru espresso places they've got all over the Seattle area. They're infinitely better than any of the chain places...

I haven't seen her commercials, since we don't have Dunkin Donuts on the west coast. Starbucks plain coffee isn't particularly good either, unless you order an espresso drink of some kind, so I'm suprised that she would be such a brat about it. Rachel Ray is beyond obnoxious.

Real coffee lovers like strong coffee. The other stuff is just hot brown water with added caffeine. Yuck.
