Spring Rolls

As it turns out, we're not the only ones who like to make our own Spring rolls.

As it turns out, we're not the only ones who like to make our own Spring rolls. So does member orangek8, who posted this authentic recipe in our Kitchen Goddess group in the YumSugar Community.

This weekend, the theme for our Cooking Club was Tour of Asia. I was in charge of Vietnam, so I made Vietnamese Spring Rolls. It was my first time, but I've always wanted to try my hand at it! I adapted a recipe that I found on allrecipes.com.

Favas + Asparagus = Spring!

Wondering how to get in the spirit of Spring?

Wondering how to get in the spirit of Spring? OnSugar blog Fresh Tart recommends making a delicious fava and asparagus dish.Fava beans are back in the markets, and that means Spring! I bought a bunch at Whole Foods, as well as a bunch of asparagus, and sauteed the two with a little garlic, in perhaps a little butter, and ate them — fresh and earthy — over creamy polenta. Pure Spring comfort, eaten with a spoon. A fine meal . . . just for me.

Banana Bread

When life gives you too many ripe bananas, OnSugar blog Stir Me Sweet suggests you do as the Aussies do and make quick and easy banana bread.

When life gives you too many ripe bananas, OnSugar blog Stir Me Sweet suggests you do as the Aussies do and make quick and easy banana bread.

Since moving to Australia I have discovered one of the main things that sets Aussies apart from Kiwis when it comes to culinary preferences — banana bread! It's everywhere and so very addictive. I've come to the conclusion that the reason banana bread is so popular in Australia and almost non-existent in New Zealand is due to the rate that bananas ripen and become inedible, yet suitable for baking in Australia. Just a theory. So of course I had to find a perfect recipe to make at home. I'm not sure if this is perfect, but if it isn't I'd love for you to share your recipes with me!

This story was written by member girlA and comes from The Dairy Free Diva Recipe Exchange group in the YumSugar Community. This is a wonderful take on pasta salads! With the flavor of the roasted asparagus, the baked tofu and shallots, there's no need for a heavy, rich mayo-sour cream dressing. The lemon juice and cayenne dressing is the perfect accompaniment to the other flavors. I just made a couple of small changes to the recipe for convenience, but I'll list the original recipe and my changes.
