Reader Review: Sticky Fingers BBQ Sauce

I was checking out the always inspiring Kitchen Goddess group when I came across a post from TeamSugar member JennyJen. In it she reviews a BBQ sauce she had never noticed before. Mostly, she fell victim to cute packaging — haven't we all? — and decided to give it a try.

She says that the sauce, which is actually from the infamous Sticky Fingers chain of restaurants, is amazing and that she wasn't sure how she restrained herself "from chugging the entire bottle of delicious goodness!"

Now that grilling season has started, I think I'm going to have to hunt down a bottle. How about you? Have you ever tried it, and if so, do you agree with JennyJen?

I actually used to work at the Sticky Fingers in Charleston, SC, and I still think the sauces are great!

I agree that their barbecue sauces are pretty good, but there's a place in small-town South Carolina that makes the best mustard-based barbecue sauce I've ever had in my life. Check it out. http://www.wisesbbq.com/ If you ever are near there, stop by, it's worth the trip. -Vizz

My family on my mom's side all live in South Carolina, and every time we visit we come back with SEVERAL bottles of Sticky Fingers. Definitely, hands down, the best barbeque sauces (and there are varieties) out there. They probably last a couple of weeks in my house, but probably less than a week during grilling season!

I've never had it but we'll have to try! We always use Stubb's BBQ sauce, my brother eats it on EVERYTHING, rice, corn dogs, dumplings and meat of course! If it's as good as you all say, I sure he'll love it!

Living in Charleston, SC, there are plenty of SF restaurants to fulfill my bbq hankerings...Here, the restaurants are known as tourist traps, but the dry rub ribs are sooo good, that we go every couple of months or so. You cannot go wrong w/ any of the sauces. Fuzzles, I would definitely try the 5 pack. We received it as a gift a year ago, and have been using each one of the flavors for a variety of meats.

oh my goodness this is great! I'm from chattanooga and that's where sticky fingers started! one of my first hosting jobs while I was in high school. Though I'm not a huge fan of bbq, I have my mom send me boxes of sauce at school so I don't miss this amazing stuff!!

OMG- i've been to a sticky fingers in sc too- when we got back home we just happened to come across some bottles of it in our local grocery store and we were so excited! so we bought 2 different flavors and i'm telling you- it's the best bbq sauce i've ever tasted. Looks incredible! Not readily available in the Midwest, but I would love to try it. Here, the old standby is Famous Dave's. Especially the Devil's Spit version! Woohoo!

I love LOVE love Sticky Fingers bbq sauce. I was at one of the restaurants in SC and it was awesome. I like the sweet caroline (I think that's what it's called).
