As we head into the weekend, it's time to turn our attention to the very important topic of brunch cocktails. Though a bloody mary or mimosa is the obvious choice, I find that a Ramos gin fizz functions as an excellent morning drink.

From Food & Wine Ingredients 2 ounces gin Directions Makes 1 cocktail.Ramos Gin Fizz

1 ounce simple syrup
1/2 ounce fresh lemon juice
1/2 ounce fresh lime juice
1 ounce heavy cream
1 large egg white
4 drops of orange flower water
Ice
1 ounce chilled club soda
An orange twist, optional
