What Ingredients Do You Splurge On?

When grocery shopping, the majority of the time, I try to select the cheapest ingredients. However, there are some items that I splurge for. My dad introduced me to this local, organic, European-style butter and I've become obsessed with it! It's more expensive than regular butter, but I think it's worth it. It makes the best toast. Ever. Browsing the new food market on Gilt Taste has me contemplating another splurge: California caviar!

To start: Organic berries Organic apples Cheese Garam masala, whole vanilla beans, and other spices... Free-range, organic eggs Acme bread The list goes on and on...

I spend it on gourmet pastas, cheeses, and truffle butter.

I guess chocolates, European kinds. But friends and family say I spend a lot on food in general. *shrugs*

Butter, cheese, vegetables, fruit, meats - anything I buy that's fresh. Canned stuff and frozen foods I tend to save on. I spend loooooots of money on cheese. And wine.

Oh man. Rosely, I'm very very jealous! I love Dutch cheese. When I go to Europe in the fall, I plan on eating so much that I get sick =P And fuzzles... that was a great euphemism. Or, the opposite of one.

Oils, vinegars, specialty cheeses, and cream and cream-topped milk in glass bottles that comes from local grass-fed flatulence machines.
